Lisa...that's a bad habit....

I'm not sure what Lisa's doing in Eruope ....but It must have been that it was my sister's birthday....and I was thinking about her a lot this week...I'm not exactly sure how.....but I must have summoned her somehow...

Is this not a spitting image of Lisa? You may not be able to tell in the picture..but it is 'dead on'..I was acting like I was taking a picture of something else...and couldn't get a straight-on shot...so this was as good as I could get...but you can definitely see it right?......

Prague is my second favorite city....

Wanted to post some pics of Prague so you can see what a romantic city this is!
Americans have only been allowed to travel here since maybe the 90's. Or something like that ....need to take a tour I guess and learn some history! Lololol.... It has been under Russian control prior to that for like 40 years until the the Velvet Revolution in the early 90's. Who knew all this beauty was waiting to be discovered!!!!

We have arrived in Prague. A few hours ago actually and we have already scored!
Met the artist of the jewelry. Can u believe we found it? And still on the Charles Bridge. Going to meet him and his son in the morning. His son speaks better English.
I AM SO EXCITED! I could barely concentrate on the task at hand when talking to him! I was about to jump out of my skin with the excitement I was trying to contain within.
So as we were talking to him he says 'in his broken English' "ah yes, I got ur email"! And I'm thinking 'are you shitting me?' you couldn't have responded? But he says he doesn't speak good English do didn't want to respond. Oh okay! Lol! I guess I'll let that slide!!!! Lol it's just that... We just traveled across the world to talk to you!!! Could've saved a couple of dollars! Lol But we would've missed the adventure if he had responded!
We just now walked off the bridge and I told piddle, I've got to post this!!!!! I've got to tell someone!!! So I'm telling you!!!
Can't wait for u ladies to see this jewelry! Wish I could bring all of it home with me.

So now we are sitting in a square listening to music and every era is represented in their architecture. The renaissance, golden age, Baroque, blah blah blah.... So there's our culture for the day. Will get a picture from the Charles Bridge tomorrow and posts more pics!!!!

Had a good time with Lynn and Chris....they leave for Paris in the am....then we'll see them again in England this weekend....gonna see what we can get into in London...hopefully will find some cool Olympic events to go to....
Welp...will post some pics of Prague...can't wait....you would love Prague....I don't think I posted pics when we were there in 09...so it will be a special treat for you...lol

A good day for a bike ride

Lynn and Chris rented bikes today and we went for a toodle around town...Chris about had his bell rang but he survived......catastrophe averted! I think they did a good job for their first outing!

Been Kinda Rainy......

Been rainy the last couple of days...but the skies seem to cheer up by mid afternoon and it usually turns into a beautiful day....and today was no different...been pretty chilly and raining most of day....but we decide to brave it anyway...well..as soon as we stepped out, it quit raining and the wind quit blowing...ahhhhhh....then we found the farmers market....well rediscovered it......on DeWaag Square....its the same place we found the cool lambswool rug thats in front of our fireplace....the lady was still there........nice huh?

So while we were at the market today, we found fresh ingredients for caprese....so we thought "what the hell"......sounds like an Italian kind of night....we also found fresh olive oil, fresh ciabatta bread, balsamic crema (yes, you heard me!) and well...look what else we found...we found all of this stuff at the market today....

We should eat like this every day.....

Okay, so I didn't show you the last bunch of tulips I got for 6 Euros....but this wad cost me 5 Euros today at the the Saturday Farmers Market on De Waag Square....forgot all about that....And this is the nice bouquet it made...

Toodling Around

Been toodling around town a lot........weather has been ideal.....in the 70's all week....

The canals are beautiful and have been busy!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Ended up at an authentic Italian restaurant......look what their house wines are......Orvieto (white) and Montepulciano (red)...how perfectly awesome is that? And our waiter had lived in Montepulciano for 10 years.....ahhh ol' Nostalgia..... .We ordered half a carafe of Orvieto......then another.....lol...think we could have gotten pulled over for drinking and biking? Oh crap...maybe we could have.....

p.s. I don't think we have eaten a meal indoors since our arrival....
p.p.s. Orvieto and Montepulciano are two of our favorite towns in Italy...many nice afternoons spent....

Yes, first things first....had to have some ever wonderful smelling flowers to spruce up the place....found an awesome little "flat" .....that's what I like to call it...not sure of it's the technical name...maybe Chris can set me straight....but it makes me feel like I'm in a flat or a loft....mmmmm
